The BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition was released to pay tribute to the DTM Champion Marco Wittmann. The car was released in 23 units only, which number isn't coincidental but inspired by the number 23 on Marco's championship winning racecar. 18 were LHD and 5 were RHD .

Of the 23 Produced:-

• 5 x RHD, all for Japan (including this example)
• 18 x LHD, 7 for Germany, 4 for Switzerland, 2 for UAE, and 1 each for Netherlands, Oman, Poland, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

So this is the only RHD in the UK 

M4 DTM Champion Edition

The BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition was first launched in 2014, following the victory of Marco Wittmann in the 2014 DTM season, in commemoration of the winning BMW M4 DTM racecar. The model is based on Wittmann's 2014 M4 DTM in color. The 2014 DTM Champion Edition is limited to 23 units, Wittmann's race number.^[23]

After winning the 2016 season, BMW once again released a DTM Champion Edition of the M4. The M4 DTM Champion Edition uses the engine from the M4 GTS with 368 kW (500 PS; 493 hp) 600 N⋅m (443 lb⋅ft) and water injection. All performance data are identical to those of the GTS. It is limited to 200 units and is only available in white in keeping with the DTM car.^[24] The visual difference to the GTS lies in the smaller spoiler, less aggressive front splitter, the addition of canards on the front bumper as well as the omission of the orange design

Precisely, to make the perfect tribute car, the exterior shade is in Alpine White, which mimics the Ice Watch on Marco Wittmann's BMW M4 DTM racecar.

Just like on the racecar, the road coupe also received a bonnet, roof and boot lid finished in matt black and emblazoned with colourful stripes. There are also BMW kidney grilles outlined in orange as well as a decal set with lateral stripes, starting numbers, and flags and logos.

To celebrate its wins in the 2014 DTM Drivers' and Team Championship, BMW has announced the addition of a Champion Edition package for its M4 and DTM Sport Edition package for its 1-Series line-ups. The M4 package will be limited to 23 units, whilst the 1-Series' package will replace the M Sport trim level and will be available to order from November. The packages celebrate 24-year old Marco Wittman's dominant 2014 campaign with BMW Team RMG in the premiere German motorsport class.

Ordering an M4 Champion Edition will see buyers receive their 425bhp sports coupe painted in Alpine White with a matt-black bonnet and bootlid, with multi-coloured stripes running along the length of the car - mimicking the livery of the Championship winning M4 DTM car. Other additions to the twin-turbocharged straight-six two-door are orange surrounds on the kidney grilles, M badges behind the front wheel arches, as well as number 23 and 'DTM Champion' stickers. Bodywork and wheels are all carried over from the usual M Performance Parts range, and the interior recieves some signed carbon trim and door sill-plates.

BMW's DTM win follows on from the announcement that its BMW Z4 GT3 racing car will be replaced with a GT3 version of the M6 in 2016. BMW Team RMG, the carmaker's DTM racing outfit, also announced that it would be retaining Wittman for the 2015 DTM season. Part of his Championship winning prize is a test in a Toro Rosso Formula 1 car.
